#Ginspiration: Tanqueray No. 10

TanquerayWords by Shaun Cooney

The first name in gin is Tanqueray. Nothing says a quality gin than the emerald green of a Tanqueray bottle standing amongst the crowd. And now standing taller and greener than anyone else is Tanqueray No.10. A gin specially designed to make the perfect martini.

Named after the still that no 10 is crafted and containing the perfect combination of citrus fruits that work in perfect balance against a floral vermouth to make an easy to sip, smooth as silk martini.

But I would suggest mixing it into a Martinez, 50ml Tanqueray No 10, 25ml sweet vermouth like Punt e Mes, 10ml maraschino liqueur, a couple of dashes of orange bitters and a cherry to garnish.
