Happiness is a nice warm fuzzy feeling, and after a few cocktails at Happiness Forgets you will definitely start to feel warm and fuzzy. Just off Hoxton Square and down a some steps next to newly opened 8 Hoxton Square, Happiness Forgets is tucked away in the basement.

Perfect timing left us with a seat at the bar, giving the best view for the show going on behind the bar. With a list of around 8-10 cocktails changing regularly, a Tokyo Collins comes served with saki and grapefruit making a beautifully bitter cocktail. Round two leaves me with an eldorado 12 old fashioned mixed with cane syrup.

A seat at the bar in Happiness Forgets puts you in the best possible position to interact with the guys behind the bar, take in the action and get the best possible recommendations for your pallet. One last round of cocktails with requests for a drink as bitter as possible and a big whiskey based cocktail, ends the night with a classic aviation with a dash if tonic and a manhattan style cocktail, made with an earthy sweet vermouth.

Emerging back up the stairs to Hoxton in full swing, Happiness Forgets shows that you don’t need a lot of space to make a big impression.
