When Chanel’s creative director, Karl Largerfeld, last teamed up with film director Baz Luhrmann, they created the filmic style advert for Chanel No5 perfume featuring Nicole Kidman in Paris. The pair are back with another collaboration for the classic perfume, this time employing the help of Brazilian beauty, Gisele Bündchen, ‘surfing’ waves and frolicking the streets of New York City to a slowed down rendition of the Grease classic “You’re The One That I Want”. Slow-mo surfing whilst looking longingly into the distance, a photoshoot in an NY warehouse, tears caught in the mirror of her vintage car whilst speeding over the Brooklyn Bridge, all whilst being just the right amount of naked. As expected of Luhrmann, this production is an absolute feast for the eyes – and we’re not just talking about the close up of Gisele’s exceptional bottom.
